On our first EP, we have begun to explore our interest in folklore, the occult and the natural world through electronic, glitchy music. Informed by our love of traditional folk songs of the British Isles, to the folk revival of the ‘60s and ‘70s, through progressive and mind-bending acid and techno sounds of the ‘80s and ‘90s, we are also influenced by the esoteric compositions of acts such as Coil and Current 93. The ideas of hauntology, folk horror and psychogeography also play their part.

The five tracks display a reverence for the landscape but our relationship with it is not without unease – because walking down a verdant country lane on a hot summer’s day, or gazing out over a beautiful view of green-patched lands, it’s easy to ignore the dark history that echoes down the ages and peeks through the gaps in the hedgerows.

We love the stories that make up our pre-history and history and our aspiration is – in our own way - to carry on a tradition which both celebrates our oneness with the landscape and, conversely, encapsulates a disconnect between us and it. More than anything it’s the undercurrents and magical elements that shimmer just out of reach, but which foretell our destinies, that we have tried to capture the tiniest essence of in our music.
